The WYC-12A biosafety transport container primarily utilizes a three-layer packaging system software: a system specifically chosen for the transportation of infectious and irreversible infectious compounds. This packaging system software comprises three layers: an inner container, a secondary packaging, and an outer packaging.

The inner container (main container) used for transporting specimens in a biosecurity transport box should be as waterproof and leak-proof as possible, and should be labeled with appropriate signs indicating the specific contents. A certain amount of absorbent material should be wrapped around the outer surface of the inner container, which is beneficial for absorbing and digesting all the liquid that may leak out in case of a leak or spillage from the inner container.
The second layer of packaging, which is waterproof and leak-proof (assisting in packaging raw materials), is used to wrap and maintain the inner containers. Some packaged inner containers can be placed into a separate second layer of packaging. Some requirements include the volume and net weight of packaging for infectious chemical substances.
